La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Page at Lake Powell

Not bad for a 3 star hotel. Service was excellent and the rooms were perfect. Our only complaints were that the WiFi never worked and that they give tiny bottles for body wash, condition, and shampoo (they need to increase the quantity).

The staff was incredibly nice, gave us free toothbrushes when I forgot mine! The rooms were also clean and comfortable. There was also a little shop for snacks that I liked. In the end, I’m pretty happy choosing here.

The hotel felt a bit old, and the cleanliness of the elevator wasn’t great. Since it was Thanksgiving week, there were a lot of guests, and the dining area seemed a bit small for the number of people staying there. Overall, though, the system itself didn’t seem bad.

We spent the day in and around Page, AZ and we were able to get a room at the LaQuinta Inn. They allowed us an early arrival so we were able to drop off our bags and get settled before the day of activities. The area was full of tourists and many hotels were full. We were greeted with a smile and given our choice of a couple rooms that were available. We entered the room and set up our beds. We noticed that the pull out sofa did not have any sheets or bedding available in the room. We called the front desk and within a minute the host was at our door with clean ljinens, blankets and pillows. The night was restful and breakfast was as expected with all of the normal items to choose from. We enjoyed our stay and would come again if needed.

The location is good, and the check-in was prompt. The room was clean and well-maintained. However, the main issue was the breakfast experience. The staff were not friendly, and they acted as if the breakfast was being provided for free. They were monitoring guests very closely, which made the experience uncomfortable. Overall, the hotel needs to improve its breakfast service and staff attitude.

I recently stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Page at Lake Powell and overall, it was a good experience. The hotel was clean, and the staff provided friendly, attentive service throughout my stay. It has all the basic amenities you’d expect, and the room itself was spacious and comfortable. I was actually surprised (in a good way) to find a Herman Miller desk chair — not something you typically see at this price point. It was a nice touch, along with the large LG TV. Breakfast is served from 6:00 to 9:30 a.m. and is very standard — nothing out of the ordinary, but perfectly adequate to get your day started. The pool and jacuzzi were closed for the season, so I can’t comment on those. There were a few drawbacks. The biggest issue was the Wi-Fi. There is a network available, but it simply doesn’t work. This is especially frustrating given the spotty cellphone reception in the area, which makes reliable internet even more important. Another downside was the lack of complimentary water. There’s no water provided in the room, and none available during breakfast hours either — it seems the only option is to purchase bottles from the hotel “market” for $2.50 each. Considering many guests are in town for hiking and outdoor activities, providing one or two complimentary bottles at check-in would go a long way. I’d suggest bringing your own water if you’re planning to stay here. Lastly, the blow dryer in the room did not work. Overall, it was a solid stay thanks to the cleanliness, friendly staff, and comfortable space. However, I’d gladly trade a Herman Miller chair or oversized TV for working Wi-Fi, complimentary water, and fully functioning essentials — upgrades that would provide more practical value for most travelers.

We booked this hotel because it was pet friendly and advertised having a dog area. I would not stay here again based on that because the fence in the dog area does not go all the way to the ground, and as others stated my dog also got the pointy burrs stuck in his paws which started bleeding. If you are staying without a dog, no complaints. Good location.
